Neck Rejuvenation FAQs

Neck skin is thinner than facial skin, has fewer oil glands and less supporting fat, and sits over a broad, constantly moving muscle called the platysma. Add years of sun exposure, hours a day looking down at a phone or laptop, and the natural loss of collagen and elastin, and the neck often shows age earlier and more visibly than a well-cared-for face. The good news: it responds beautifully to the right combination of treatments.

The Gold Method™ is a combination injectable protocol developed with Merz Aesthetics that addresses the three main contributors to neck aging in one visit: hyperdiluted Radiesse® to stimulate collagen and elastin and firm crepey, thinning skin; Xeomin® to relax the platysma and soften vertical bands; and Belotero® hyaluronic acid to smooth etched horizontal lines. Treating skin quality, muscle and lines together is what gives such a natural, complete result.

Yes. In June 2026 Skinvive™ by Juvéderm® became the first and only hyaluronic acid injectable FDA-approved to reduce horizontal neck lines and improve neck appearance in adults 21 and older. In the pivotal study, about 75% of patients saw a clinically meaningful improvement in their neck lines at one month, and most maintained it at six months. It's delivered as microdroplets with an ultrafine needle or cannula and includes lidocaine for comfort.

It depends on what you see in the mirror. Fine horizontal "tech neck" lines and dry, textured skin respond well to Skinvive. Crepey, loose skin with visible vertical bands and deeper lines calls for the layered Gold Method. Sun damage, mottled pigment, rough texture and laxity on the face and neck are best addressed with HALO TriBrid, Halo or Moxi laser resurfacing — treated together so they match — and BBL HEROic is a wonderful complement for redness and sun spots. Many patients benefit from a combination, and we will map the right sequence for you at your consultation.

Injectable options are minimal-downtime: expect possible mild swelling, redness or small bruises for a few days, with most patients returning to normal activity the same day. Laser resurfacing varies by intensity — Halo or Moxi alone typically involve a few days of flushing and light flaking, while a full HALO TriBrid treatment calls for about 5–7 days of recovery. We will time your treatment around any upcoming events.

Skinvive results last about six months with optimal treatment. The Gold Method builds over roughly three months as new collagen forms, with Radiesse-driven improvements commonly lasting a year or more and the Xeomin component typically refreshed every three to four months. Laser results can last for years with daily SPF and good skincare, and many patients choose an annual maintenance session.
